Think7 (T7) is the Group of 7 (G7) official engagement group that brings together leading think tanks and research centers worldwide with the aim to provide evidence-based advice and policy recommendations for the G7 Presidency.
Experts from both G7 and non-G7 countries are invited to submit abstracts of Policy Briefs (PBs) focused on the main policy areas of the T7 Italy Task Forces (TFs) described below. The Chair and Co-Chairs of the Task Forces will select high-quality abstracts and work with the authors to develop them into PBs for consideration by the G7. The process is coordinated by the Co-Chairs of T7, the Italian International Affairs Institute (IAI) and the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI).
The selected policy briefs will be published on the Publication section of this website and serve as background material for the T7 Final Communiqué to be presented to the Italian Presidency ahead of the G7 Summit.

Abstract Submission Procedure
Authors should submit their Policy Brief abstracts of up to 300 words in English. Co-authorship is recommended. Submissions should include:
- Title of the Policy Brief
- Related Task Force of T7
- Abstract, including the presentation of the global policy challenge perceived as critically important by the author(s), the proposed action to be taken by G7 countries, and the economic, social, and/or environmental relevance for global governance.
- Author details.
Cut-off dates and notifications
Deadline for the submission of the abstracts: postponed to 12 January 2024 at 24:00 CET. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Abstract acceptance notification: corresponding authors of selected PB abstracts will be notified by February 7
Draft Policy Brief: 1 March 2024
This deadline will allow us to discuss drafts in T7-associated events.
Draft Policy Briefs will be subject to an internal peer-review process (1-15 March 2024). Detailed guidelines for Policy Briefs will be sent to authors upon the acceptance of their abstracts.
Deadline for the submission of the final draft of the Policy Briefs: 2 April 2024
The selected policy briefs will be published on the T7 website.
Authors of selected abstracts will be considered members of the Task Forces.
Authors and other interested members of the public are encouraged to join the T7 Italy Inception Conference (January 2024), the T7 Italy Summit (May 2024) and other T7-associated events..
