Abstract

T7 jointly with other G7 Japan engagement groups released a statement that spotlights the critical importance of gender equality. Co-produced with Women7, Civil7, Pride7, and Youth7, it describes gender equality as an intersectional imperative for building resilience, safeguarding G7 and beyond against crises, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. This joint statement was highlighted during the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment on 24-25 June, in Nikko, Japan.
